Sapalibutad

Sapalibutad from sápa (“creek”) and libutad (“middle”). This place name does not say if the river is between two villages or between two land formations. It is a barrio south of PulungCacutud touching the boundary of Mexico in the east.

In the 18th century, Barangay Sapalibutad was washed out because the river expanded and most houses were destroyed on said Sitio. Most of the residences of this Barangay are farmers, planting of rice and sugar cane and fishing in the creek is the main livelihood of the people.

Barangay Sapalibutad is located at the eastern part of Angeles City and is bounded on the north by Barangay Cutud. In the west by Barangay PulungCacutud, in the south by Barangay Capaya and in the east by Barangay Tangle, Mexico Pampanga.
