Santo Cristo

Santo Cristo obviously named after their patron saint Santo Cristo del Perdon, the image of the Crucified Christ. In  processions, the image of the Santo Cristo del Perdon accompanies the Virgen–underscoring the belief of Catholics that the Blessed Virgin helps bring Christ even to the most unreachable people.

Barangay Santo Cristo was only an outskirt of Kuliat at the time when it became a new Municipality and separated from San Fernando, Pampanga in 1829. Today, Sto Cristo is within the City Limits. Santo Cristo is very well known for its nickname “Patirik-tirik” the time of about half a hectare cemetery of the city.
